Are you ready to write a children’s picture book?
Writing a children’s book is an opportunity to re-imagine childhood memories, dream an awesome adventure, memorialize an ancestor, celebrate a family tradition, teach a lesson, or help a child through challenges.
Let's get started!
Writers have intense ambition; however, writing for children can be a tough proposition. Author’s must envision a world through a child’s eyes, mind, and soul. It is essential to create wonderful characters, engaging action, appealing plots, and language appropriate for young readers.
Crafting a story could be a long-term intellectual effort or could become a chore or could be time-consuming. Producing a book worth reading is not a light undertaking and the process is complex. Writing a book can also be amazing, awesome, fabulous, and fun. It is up to the writer to choose a path that best suits their desire to be a published author. That route should be the one of least stress and struggle to reach “The End”.
Know that your book has a place in a child’s hands. Commit to writing and be steadfast in pursuing your goal. This includes seeking the help of someone who can assist you along the way. When you are ready to write, a coach can encourage you through the first steps and provide accurate guidance you through your journey.
My goals as a coach are to provide inspiration, help you find and maintain your voice, and uphold the integrity of your story.
